Field service software for electrical contractors

Most small electrical shops run two businesses at once: quick service calls that need a truck today, and panel upgrades or remodel wiring that run for days and wait on inspections. LLUMIFIELD keeps both on one schedule and keeps the paperwork on the job.

One flat plan per company: $99.99 a month, $49.99 a month for your first 3 paid months, with unlimited users. Every new company gets a 14-day free trial, no credit card required.

How common electrical work runs

The workHow it runs in LLUMIFIELD
Service callBook it from the phone or the online booking page, drag it to a technician, and send an On My Way text with an ETA. Invoice and take payment before leaving.
Panel upgradeSend an estimate with a deposit due on acceptance, schedule it as a crew job, and add photos of the finished panel as proof of completion.
Remodel rough-in and finishUse one project with separate visits for each phase, and bill the phases in installments. Daily logs and notes stay on the project.
Low-voltage add-onRun it the same way: a booked visit, line items from your catalog, and an invoice.

Keep permits and inspections with the job

LLUMIFIELD has no permit tracker, and we will not pretend a task list is one. What works for small shops is simple: keep the job in a project, attach the permit and the inspection paperwork to it, and add a task for each inspection so the next step shows up for whoever is on the job. The same project holds the photos you took before the walls closed.

Require the photo before the job closes

Turn on proof of completion and a job can only be completed once its requirements are met: a minimum number of before and after photos, the customer's signature, and required tasks, with checklist templates for your common jobs. An admin can override it. It is off by default, so you only use it if you want it.

Sell bigger jobs with cleaner paperwork

Estimates carry photos per line, can be revised and resent after sending, and turn into invoices when accepted. For larger scopes, the optional Contracts module adds reusable templates and e-signature, by link or in person. If approvals are slow today, start with how to send estimates that get approved faster.

Know what a panel upgrade really earns

Pick Electrical at setup and hourly items and installed services are costed as crew time, with parts costed by receipt. Technicians can clock time per job, and job costing uses payroll labor where it has it. Materials used on a job flow into invoices built from that job, so wire and breakers are less likely to go unbilled.

Keep the office and the field talking

Each job has its own chat, alongside company chat and direct messages, with files, voice notes and shared records. When the office takes a call about a job, the tech sees it there instead of in a personal text thread. Everyone also gets a sign-in without raising the bill, including the apprentice who only needs the schedule.

Not with a dedicated tracker. Keep the permit and inspection paperwork on a project and use tasks for each inspection step.

Can I bill a job in stages?

Yes. Estimates and invoices support deposits and installment schedules, and each installment can be paid online.

How much does it cost?

One flat plan per company: $49.99 a month for your first 3 paid months, then $99.99 a month, with unlimited users. Every new company gets a 14-day free trial with no credit card required.
